HITCH by Andy Tennant
Hitch (Will Smith - perfect for this role) is the “date doctor” - he can set up every man with the women of his dreams. Even Albert (Kevin James - perfect as well) can woo a celebrity like Allegra (Amber Valletta - a bit pale compared to the rest of the cast) with his help.
But when it comes to himself and his affection for zynical gossip columnist Sara (Eva Mendes - gorgeous and perfect as well) it doesn’t work out exactly as expected, and it looks like Hitch doesn’t believe in real love for himself …
This is the perfect date movie - not great art, but genuinely entertaining, funny and romantic, all without the gross humor, fart jokes and frank sexual references we have gotten so used to. Will Smith is charming as usual, Eva Mendes is eye-candy for the boys, and Kevin James is a comic sidekick who doesn’t need to totally humiliate himself to be funny.
